People writing the article ignore that Tesla's goal isn't to produce a chip but to take the company's stock through another pump cycle. When investors start to ask questions they will just hype something else.
Reading the Musk interview from Jan where the cheeseburger quote comes from, his brilliant idea seems to be this:
They just maintain wafer isolation the entire time
Surely this Musk project will happen in the time he says it will.
Musk has lots of experience with ignoring lack of experience; should speed the process up.
